From the line quoted above, I can get that you need free credits for Google Cloud Platform in order to explore it; it generally has a 'pay as you go' model of pricing, based on your usage. If you mean the $ 300 'credit' for a free trial, it is a different thing, but the 'credits' we speak of here in this community is something else, which I'll discuss below.
At first I would recommend you to participate in the Google Cloud Skills Boost platform, and its part, the Arcade, (if you have not already) where you can 'learn while you earn' about the Google Cloud Platform at your own pace; while getting 'badges' for your achievements which you can show in your professional profile, as well as some free and exclusive Google Cloud swags. Credits in this context are like virtual currency required to perform labs (activities which will give you a practical experience of the Google Cloud platform) and other activities like quizzes, which costs $1 per credit, discounts available for bulk purchases.
In order to get free credits to perform the labs you can subscribe to the Cloud Skills Boost Arcade to get the monthly Arcade Insider mail, where there might be a redeem code (not always) using which you might get about 100 credits. Also, there are many events for all to participate, like the Arcade Facilitators' Program, which might offer credits for free (if you're lucky)
Lastly, you can ask for credits here in the community. There is always someone generous to offer their extra credits.
