Google Cloud Arcade July 23

Google Cloud Arcade July 23Google Cloud Arcade July 23

Hey there!

It's fantastic how Google Cloud Arcade fosters a vibrant learning ecosystem. The onboarding process was surprisingly smooth. Thanks to @Yugali for providing the latest updates, progress reports etc.

Let me tell you all about my experience completing the July Google Cloud Arcade games. It was an exhilarating journey that not only challenged my skills but also allowed me to discover new aspects of Google Cloud.

First off, I must say, the July games were thoughtfully designed with a perfect blend of fun and learning. Throughout the Games, I enjoyed the interactive nature of the labs. It wasn't just about passively absorbing information; instead, it encouraged hands-on learning and experimentation. I could test my newfound knowledge in real-time, which made the experience all the more engaging and effective.

I can't begin to describe how many times I found myself grappling with GSP041, the Internal Load Balancer Game Lab. It was one of those moments where T 1, 2, and 3 worked like a charm, but then T4 just wouldn't cooperate. Or there were times when T 1, 3, and 4 were doing fine, but T2 was being stubborn. It was a frustrating loop for me that seemed never-ending, and I must admit, I exceeded my timer trying to figure it out.

I made multiple attempts, around 5 or 6 times, but it felt like hitting a brick wall every single time. The struggle was real! I couldn't seem to get it right, and it was quite disheartening.

Finally, in a moment of pure inspiration, I decided to skip testing the load balancer and go straight to creating my frontend.sh script. And lo and behold, that was the turning point! When I opened the External IP and saw that beautiful matrix of successful responses, it was like music to my ears. That feeling of accomplishment was beyond words!

In hindsight, it taught me a valuable lesson – sometimes, when you hit a roadblock, it's better to take a step back, approach it from a different angle, and keep on trying. Perseverance pays off!

The Internal Load Balancer game lab might have been a tough nut to crack, but the sense of achievement and the knowledge gained from overcoming the challenge made it all worth it. It's moments like these that remind me why I love participating in Developer games/hackathons etc. The thrill of pushing boundaries, learning, and growing is simply unparalleled.

So, if you ever find yourself stuck in a tech challenge, remember that you're not alone – we've all been there! And the Google Cloud Community is always there to guide you. So, take a deep breath, regroup, and find that unique approach that works for you.

Completing the July '23 Google Cloud Arcade games not only honed my skills but also deepened my appreciation for the potential of cloud-based solutions.

I'm already looking forward to the next set of challenges in the Google Cloud Arcade. It's a fantastic way to keep sharpening my skills, staying up-to-date with the latest developments, and being a part of a thriving community.

Thank You #GoogleCloud and #Qwiklabs !!!

It's been an incredible experience. I look forward to continuing this exciting journey, learning more every day, and contributing to the growth and success of the Google Cloud community!
