Hello,
Greetings Program Managers @Yugali @carrie & @Roderick @Lauren_vdv & @kothalkar and All Arcade Team members,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an issue that has been quite disheartening for many of us. I am from Pakistan and have been actively participating in the Google Cloud Arcade Games since last year. I have worked hard to complete the games and redeem my swag at the Prize Counter. However, I have encountered a significant problem: Printo Document Services PVT LTD ships my swag to my provided UAE address instead of directly delivering it to my residential address in Pakistan.
Despite Pakistan not being a sanctioned country, we are unable to receive Google swag items directly. This situation feels quite discriminatory. We put in a lot of effort to earn arcade badges, and then we have to ship the swag to an address in the UAE, relying on someone to bring it to us after a year or two. It is frustrating and disheartening to have to provide an alternative country's address to receive our swag items.
Everyone should have an equal opportunity to learn and earn Google Cloud swag items, regardless of their nation, country, region, or state. It is unfair that some countries are deprived of receiving these items in their regions. This issue needs to be addressed appropriately to ensure equal opportunities for all participants.
I have a suggestion that could be a more appropriate and insightful solution if implemented. Here is what I propose:
"If there are major issues in shipping the swag items to specific countries, consider choosing a central hub or another logistic courier partner. Alternatively, if there are significant difficulties in shipping the swag items directly, you could ship the swag to regional courier partners in Muslim countries such as the UAE, KSA, or Qatar. These partners can then be instructed to ship the swag to countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, Iraq, and Iran. If Printo is unable to ship directly, they can dispatch the items to courier partners in these Muslim countries, who can then take on the responsibility of shipping the swag items to other Muslim countries."
Implementing this solution would ensure that everyone has equal access to the rewards of their hard work and participation in the Google Cloud Arcade Program.
If you could help us in this matter, we would be very grateful. I am confident that if I become a facilitator, I will welcome global students and professionals to participate in the Google Cloud Arcade Program and do my best to assist students and genuinely solve their queries.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,
Arslan
Yes, The solution you provided is both insightful and practical. By implementing it, they can provide us with the convenience we need and ensure that everyone has equal access to the rewards of their hard work and participation in the Google Cloud Arcade Program!
Kindly look into the solutions , Arcade Program Managers! @Yugali @carrie @Lauren_vdv
I feel you, but it's not about discrimination against Islamic.
Most of countries you mentioned above got sanctioned by United Status. As multiple US-based corporations involved in Google Arcade, they can't break sanctions enforced by US government. I'm not a legal expert, correct me If I'm wrong.

They do this already. All of my swags went to UAE central hub according to shipping tracking.
Swag production handed by Printo, an Indian-based company. They use FedEx for international delivery which is a US-based agency (At least for Sri Lanka, Printo uses FedEx). Also, Google itself located in US.
Pretty sure Iraq and Iran got sanctioned. I'm not sure about Pakistan and Bangladesh.

Dear, The issue is not solely about discrimination against islamic/Islam but about ensuring equal access and convenience for participants from all countries.

While it is true that Iraq and Iran face sanctions, Pakistan and Bangladesh do not. This means there should be no legal barriers preventing the shipment of swag items to these countries.

The central hub solution is indeed a step in the right direction, but there is still room for improvement. If shipping directly to Pakistan and Bangladesh is not feasible, using regional courier partners in nearby countries could streamline the process and ensure participants receive their items in a timely manner. While Printo and FedEx are responsible for the logistics, exploring additional courier options or regional partnerships could help overcome these challenges. It's about finding practical solutions that align with international regulations and provide a fair experience for all participants.
It's the same for Ukraine(not occupied territory by russian terrorists).
I wish to clarify if prizes and swags could be sent to Hong Kong.
yes, all over china, but they don't ship in Bangladesh and Pakistan unfortunately
