Guidance on Account Choice for Exam and Usage of Google Cloud Credits After Certification

Hello,

I'm planning to take the Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect certification by subscribing to the the Innovator Plus Annual Subscription. However, I have a few questions regarding the account setup and credit usage that I hope you can clarify.

1. **Account Choice for Exam and Subscription**: Would it be better to use my company Google account or my personal Google account for the exam and subscription? I want to ensure that I retain access to my certification if I ever leave my organization, so I'm considering using my personal account. Is this recommended?

2. **Transferability of Cloud Credits**: If I use my personal account and receive the $500 in Google Cloud credits upon certification, would it be possible to transfer those credits to my organization’s Google Cloud account? My employer is particularly interested in knowing if these credits could be utilized for company projects.

3. Can I transfer the base $500 USD in Google Cloud credits to my organization, that come included in the Innovator Plus Annual Subscription.

@CrystalSmith, especially, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards

People regularly post about no longer having access to their work accounts and thereby losing access to credits/certs. There seems to be a consensus of preferably using a personal account.

Credits are not transferable and tied to your google account as far as I understand it. The innovator plus program is personalized and not meant for giving companies cheap GCP access. I would assume that terms and conditions of the program exclude credit sharing.

Thank you. So, if I use my work account,  then I can apply my credits towards work projects?

Double check the terms & conditions to be sure. You need a google account for innovators I believe.
