How to enter in top 10 in the world leaderboard

Hey Cloud innovators and developers, and hello folks! Today I want to discuss with you how to get more points in the each and every lab.

World LeaderBoard point

I have seen very few participants got extreme high points in the labs. How can anyone do this? If you able to done the labs under 1 minute you cannot earn these points. But the points of #1 rank participant is telling that the participant done the lab not more than 10 secs. If you can do the labs under 5 seconds then you'll get most high points. If someone know this, share your thoughts.

It is because they cheat. A bash script is available for each of the lab, they execute the script as soon as the open Cloud Shell. I stopped doing these labs for this very reason. These are available on YouTube/ GitHub too.

1. To get swag it is very unrealistic that a person would go through the content of each lab and understand the topic as they read, the number of labs to complete in a month or a week is very high so the competition is designed in a way that is forces one to cheat.

2. It’s not about the swag, it’s about the knowledge one gains and skills one get after completing each lab which is more important, getting swag ofcourse adds the flavour to contest and it is a great decision from Google Certifications to add swag but to tell you the truth, skills one gains as one go through the lab are very much more important than the swags itself.

3. My little suggestion to @Yugali and other staff members is to reduce the number of labs in a week or month so that it is realistic for one to achieve a traget/learn a topic and give points on the basis of a quiz after 3-4 labs of related topic (questions generated must be different for every one - might use Gemini 1.5 as well) for example - The Google I/O Crossword Puzzle crossword.withgoogle.com

Another thing, even if you use bash script it also takes time, but very few persons are doing this lab under only 2-3 seconds, that's impossible because tapping the buttons 'start' and 'end' it takes about 5-6 seconds.

Speedrunning is based on running automatic scripts with as little human intervention as possible. It definitely is a skill to write those scripts. The commands are executed via cloud sdk - basically what you would enter in the cloud shell.
