Loosing credits automatically

I am new to the Qwiklabs so I am little unsure how do credits work. I was under the impressions that I loose my credits whenever I am doing a quest / lab that requires credits , only then i loose the credits. But it seems that even when I am not doing the lab/quests , I am loosing credits. Is there a way to stop this or you just loose the credits even when you are sitting idle ?

Yes credits do expire

You can check it on ur subscription page...

I don't have a subscription. Someone on this community gave it to me. The next expiring column is blank .

they added you to a share group with few other people so someone else is using those credits along with you so someone in the group must have used the credit.

Because those credits are shared to you and used by a group of people.
