In the training one quiz have this question:
How does GCDS sync directory information?
The first time i choose number 4, but inthe system the correct answer is number 2. Then studying with Bard I fond this:
I have reviewed the quiz and the Google Cloud documentation for GCDS. I believe that the official course is incorrect in its answer to the question "How does GCDS sync directory information?". The correct answer is: It provides a two-way sync that relies on object modified dates to determine which directory wins.
Any Idea about the option?
A bit late, but i just found this question.... no, GCDS does not provide a 2way sync. it only reads from the LDAP source and writes changes to the Google Environment. The description of GCDS itself in the download page is: "Google Cloud Directory Sync enables administrators to synchronize users, groups and other data from an Active Directory/LDAP service to their Google Cloud domain directory."
another way to reason would be that 1& 2 would be correct as well if answer 4 were correct. it cannot be 4

This is the correct answer as far as i'm aware. I've tested this scenario few months ago using Azure AD (Entra). It got data from AD and synced to Google. Nothing changed on Azure AD environment.
PS: whoa, this is from 2023 🙄
I said it was a bit late in my first answer 🙂
