Required region for Cloud Spanner Lab is not available

The Lab Cloud Spanner - Database Fundamentals  requires the instance to be launched in us-east1 but that region is not available on the drop-down to create an instance. Is anybody else running into this issue?

Happens sometimes, no biggie. Just restart the lab, usually it's ok on the next attempt.

Thanks for the response. I have tried the lab 4 times now and us-east1 hasn't been available.
