Sentinel Bug - Kryterion - Exam 2 hours late

Hello guys,

I am writing this message because I am a little bit confused by the end of my learning experience at Google. I really enjoyed the learning path between Coursera and Qwiklabs provided by Google. But I recently had a horrible experience during my online proctored exam on Kryterion.

I would like to say that I carefully and successfully installed Sentinel. I complied with the rules of the OLP requirements for this certification, as well I arrived 30 minutes earlier.

On the launch of Sentinel 17.0.3 on the Kryterion platform, I went through multiple problems from C++ Redistributable 2015, reset of the Biometric metrics, and an endless loop of Customer service waiting time on each step, just to re-schedule the test at least three times.

After 2 hours of struggle to fix the Sentinel issue, I switched to my older computer. It was working well but the staff of Kryterion told me that I add to reboot my computer one more time for a video streaming issue. My video was on, and I am behind an optic fiber in the heart of a major city. (I have taken pictures and kept all the transcripts of this issue). Kryterion's staff turn-off the "Iris-Mini" app for my screen that cut out the red color of my screen. I was extremely stressed, and tired, and I entered the test two hours later, which I obviously failed. (ps: I scored 7/10 on the sample questions three days before the test).

I have reached out to Kryterion on August 27th, 2021 but I have not received any official responses. Then I reached out to Google EDU support, which replied that "However, it appears that after you got assisted with your issue, you were able to complete the exam with no errors or issues".

After learning about SRE and SLA on GCP, why would Google and Kryterion use the software Sentinel? Two hours of debugging are appropriate conditions for Kryterion?

In my humble opinion, Kryterion could just reschedule the test automatically after one debug, which would have avoided waiting for a support line of 10 people to ask for a reschedule. More than using fancy Biometrics with computer vision, we should be able to test if the test takers can properly launch Sentinel on their platform.

Regardless of the choice of software/external company, I believe that a professional test at $250 with strict requirements, date, and time, Google should provide the best experience possible for test-takers. Two hours of debugging before the test is not acceptable for the wellness of test-takers. After so many quality learning courses, I am really disappointed and it was definitely not a very "Google" experience.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Best,

Gamification of a bad experience... : )

My experience is not the same ... as it was not even possible to take the exam. my voucher was expired.
2hours waiting for Biometric step.... no idea where the technical issue came from. My camera was on.

At Google, you learned from the brightest developers in the world about innovative solutions.

But in the end, Google is using buggy security software from a third-party vendor in order to assess daily users of GCP. If you have a problem, you will have to talk to a horrible support Kryterion that clearly doesn't care.

Google is clearly missing the last step of business development with potential promoters of CGP products...

And that's why, Google Cloud is at 10% market share, behind Azure at 22%, and the market leader, AWS at 33%. : )
