Can't access Universal Analytics data after connecting as a data source

I'm able to connect a Universal Analytics account. But when I drag any of the fields to attempt to create a report, the table always displays a "no data" message. This account has data going back to 2017, and I can see it when I'm in the GA dashboard. What could be causing this error?

Hi,

Here is some troubleshooting;

  1. Ensure that the date range in your Looker Studio report is set to include the periods where you have data. Sometimes, the default date range might be set to a period where there is no data.
  2. Double-check that your Universal Analytics account is correctly connected in Looker Studio.
  3. Ensure that the data source is correctly configured to pull data from the correct view/property in Universal Analytics.
  4. Sometimes, reconnecting the data source can resolve connectivity issues.
  5. Try (Text Removed by Staff) you're managing multiple data sources it can help with that.

The error occurs as soon as the data source is connected. A screenshot is attached.

For clarification: I am connecting the account using the connector in the Looker dashboard when creating a new report. What exactly do you mean for numbers 2 and 3 you mentioned above?

Do you try the troubleshooting steps? it could be related to the GA4 migration, are filtering by some date range?

Yes, I tried to the troubleshooting steps. I get the error as soon as it gets connected so changing the date range doesn't make a difference.
