Comparison date range missing

Hi I started experimenting with looker studio and got a few boards set up.

However I want my score cards to compare with the previous date range, but I don't have a Comparison date range field to configure... Is it only with the pro that this field is available or what am I doing wrong?

It is not only available for Looker Studio Pro. 

Could you check that you have selected "Period" as a comparison type in the "Other Comparison Options" of the chart config setup tab. The comparison date range will disappear if you select something else.

I have this same issue, and can confirm I have "Period" selected. The next section is Filter, there are no options for comparison date range.

I'm also trying this with a metric type that I believe should allow this option. It's just a record count.

honestly i think it's related to the format of the data... I found that I can do it with another unrelated data source. I just can figure out what I need to change in order to make it appear....

I'm having the same issue. I wonder if it only appears with contiguous date data? I've got monthly averages and it won't appear at all.
