When using the Microsoft Excel connector (by Google), I have an error when using the Date Range control. Looker Studio recognizes the appropriate column in the table as a date format, but once a user filters the table using the Date Range control, instead of filtering the data by date, the following error is thrown:
This data source was improperly configured.
The query returned an error.
Encountered " <ID> "t0.field10_Date "" at line 0, column 0.
Was expecting:
")" ...Steps to reproduce:
- Create an Excel file with at least a column with dates
- Import the Excel file in Looker Studio using the official Microsoft Excel connector
- Create a table based on the Excel file. set the Date Range dimension to the column with the dates
- Create a Date Range control
- Try to filter the table using the Date Range control. At this moment, the error is thrown
