Hi,
we have very simple looker canvas - for example web sessions which are grouped by country and month.
As we use PowerBI for all kind of analytics, I have to download the data - and I am doing this on a monthly basis directly from Lookerstudio (via Export ==> CSV (excel).
In XLS I see the same number of rows, but when summing up the sessions they always differ by 10-20%. In XLS the sum is always higher compared to what I see in looker studio in the grand total row.
Why? Is there some logic in lookerstudio in this grand total row (I just activated show summary row in the canvas)?
In the canvas I work with very simple filters - e.g. start / end date, so I am only downloading the latest month to XLS in the end.
Thx
Guido
The only time I've noticed a difference between the summary total and an exported total, is when my data was being pulled via api connector from GA or Search Console. I pinned it down to sampled results but never found a solution, just 'it is what it is'. If you're getting your data in a similar way it might be the same issue.
Hi @Spreadsheep , @Guido_R By any chance did you find the solution??
I and also facing the same issue which exporting from GA4 and looker studios both.
It would be helpful if you could point me in the right direction.
Thanks.
