I'm trying to apply external sharing settings to a group in Looker Studio, but it's not working as intended. Could you please let me know if I've set something up wrong?
Requirements
- I want to set some dashboards in Looker Studio to "Public" and share them all on the web as URLs.
- Basically, the "Public" menu should not be exposed in Looker Studio dashboards.
- The "Public" menu should be exposed only to members of the 'Looker studio - Public share' group.
Settings
- Set the 'Looker studio - Public share' group in the first priority and set it to allow external sharing
- Set the All Employees group in the second priority and set it to disable external sharing
Result
- If it is as intended, only the exception group member accounts should be exposed to the public menu, and other accounts should not be exposed to the public menu.
- However, the public menu is exposed to all accounts, including the exception group members.
- Changing the priority of the group produces the opposite result.
- That is, only the policy of the 1st priority group is applied, and the policy of the 2nd priority group is not applied.
