Is it possible to filter a data source or lock/hide a report filter from editors?

Hi

The organisation I work for has two websites, which use the same GA4 account. We have a partner on the project that one of the websites is for and they want access to website analytics but we don't want to give them access analytics for our main website. I have created a Looker Studio report with a report filter that limits the report to only show data from the shared website.

I'm going to give them Viewer access but I think there will be some pushback and they'll want Editor access. So I was I was wondering if it's possible to add a filter to the whole data source, instead of just to the report? Or a way to lock the report filter, so they can't remove that and look at our other website data?

Any help or advice would be really helpful.

Thank you
Leigh

if there is one account but different properties then you can select only the when needed when conecting data.

Thank you for your quick reply!

It's the same property unfortunately. The agency who managed the move from UA to GA4 for us set it up that way for ease of cross-domain tracking as our users journeys can bounce from one website to the other and back again.

Ooh, I'll have a look into that. Thank you.

You can try to use Extract data as a new Dat Source and use filters there.
