Hi, there is a bug when trying to set up "Comparison date range" for display objects.
Looker erroneously errors out with "End date is earlier with start date", which it is not.
For example, when the start date = "Today Minus 12 Months" (Sep 1, 2023) and then end date = "Today Minus 367 Days" (Sep 24, 2023) your start vs end date check is messed up and won't allow this correct entry of dates. So I cannot compare last year's month to this year's month (cumulative month up to yesterday). I am guessing Looker is incorrectly checking the date number (12 vs 367) and not the actual resultant date which it should do instead (Sep 1 2023 vs Sep 24 2023). Can you please fix this? Thank you, RG
Same issue here. My year to date comparion's are breaking the report. Currently, the comparisons are set to start minus 1 and end minus 13 months (starting Jan 1, 2023 and end Sept 30, 2023). And I get this error.
But if I change the start to minus 7 quarters (which currently results in the same start date of Jan 1, 2023), it works just fine. But then I'll have to update the start date after each quarter. Additionally, changing the end date to only 12 months seems to work as well...but then the comparison date range is wrong
I am having the same issue - my dates are stuck in minus but I need to report on future planned data.
I'm having the same issue when I try to set up a "date range control" with date from a fixed date to "today - 1".. However, in my case at least, it seems to be just the visual warning because when I click "Apply", the results are saved correctly and the (wrong) warning goes away
Having this error since last week too
As soon as I change the end date to today "minus" anything the error appears
