Looker Studio Calculate % of Total for Multiple Columns

I am using the % of total comparison calculation on a metric in a Pivot Chart in Looker Studio. 

The calculation works just fine when there is only 1 column of data. For example, I am using a monthly breakdown for my columns. When there is only 1 month of data displayed on the chart, then the totals add up to 100%. See screenshot with Feb only data. 

When I try to have multiple columns displayed, the % of total calculations is being calculated against all columns, not individual columns. See screenshot with Jan & Feb Data
