Hello,
I am tracking clicks of a website using Looker Studio. When creating the metrics, what is the difference between "Landing Page" and "Page Path"? I thought that the Landing Page was counting clicks for when someone visits that page directly and Page Path is all of the clicks no matter how the user got to the page. However, when comparing the two, the "Landing Page" had more views than the "Page Path" formula, which doesn't make sense to me if page path is supposed to count all views. Can anyone clarify what is going on here? Thank you!
Hey Loretta!
The "Landing Page" refers to the first page a user visits in a session, measuring how many sessions start on a specific page. The "Page Path" tracks all pageviews, counting every time a page is visited, whether it's the first page or accessed later. If you're seeing more views for the "Landing Page" than for "Page Path," it could be due to users leaving the site after viewing just the landing page, or there might be filters affecting the "Page Path" metric.
Hope this helps!
