Looker Studio - Unable to change "type" in Looker Datasource

This is a brand new issue as I have modifying "type" of data on my Looker Datasources as late as yesterday.  Today, I am unable to modify any Looker Datasource "type" for all of my datasources.  Help anyone??

Experiencing the exact same issue here, across multiple Data Sources (Google Sheets, BigQuery, & Google Analytics).

Really hoping for a solution on this soon.

found temporary solution,
create new calculated field, use CAST ( ) to convert type
