Till at least a couple of days ago it was possible to share looker studio publically (unlisted). Have embedded links ....worked fine. But now people need to login with gmail account. Why?
@Stefan01 I can confirm that you can still set-up reports for public view without nessesity of using gmail/google account.
Just hit this URL using Edge for example while notbeing logged into a gmail account:
https://lookerstudio.google.com/u/0/reporting/eba42e78-b882-4770-a41a-00afdb152596/page/p_1ifgb52rgd
It works for me as well. There might be 'additional' things to set in complicated reports. Like:
It works, but I had to change in:
- Resource -> Manage added resources -> Edit -> data credentials (choose myself)
Thanks a lot! I had the same problem, and I tried for a couple of hours to understand how to make it work. Now, it is working! Also, I realised that we need to make sure that we connect the data source from Looker Studio to the Google Sheet and not just Google sheet to Looker Studio (it seems there is a two way process).... As I start my project, I used a Google Forms and it populated automatically a table in Google Sheet. Then, from the Google Sheet, I connected my table to Looker Studio and the integration made it automatically (without needing to connect the data source from Looker). And everything works fine until I want to create a share public link... So make sure everyone to (re)connect the table via Looker Studio after updating data credentials to owner if you followed the process (Bottom from the Google Forms-Up to Looker Studio) that I used. Thats works for me!
