Looker studio not grouping data based on selected dimensions instead using all the columns for group

I have a query with 10 columns, including one aggregation column. In my Looker Studio dashboard, I want to display only 6 of these columns in a table and summarize the data based on just those 6 columns. However, Looker Studio is considering all 10 columns for aggregation.

In the Setup tab, are all 10 of these showing up under "Metrics"? Can you drag them to "Dimensions" instead?

What type of data are you working with? Could you share a report URL so we can review it for you? It is difficult to provide an accurate response without seeing the report.

By the way, have you tried using the 'filter' function in your report to exclude the columns you do not need?"
