I have eight key events in my Analytics, each with over 10 occurrences per month. However, no matter how many times I connect to Looker Studio, only seven of them are reflected. The key event that is not reflected is always the same one. Are there any possible causes for this issue?
I have the same issue!
+1 on this issue
My use case it that I can see key events created in the past but a newly (2 week old) GA4 key event is not showing up in the data source no matter what I try.
I have the same issue. I can see older key events, but not events that were marked as key events earlier this week. Refreshing the fields doesn't seem to work.
I created a new report and the new key events were visible. Not sure is that helps you.
Thanks so much for the intel, Jack. I've tried creating a new report now using the same GA4 data source and I can indeed see the missing key event there. It's still missing from the original report where I was trying to add it earlier. Not sure there is a safe way to renew or replace a data source without losing all my calculated metrics that I created but your discovery gives me a chance to make it right. It does not spark confidence in Looker Studio. Thanks again for your help.
I found that if you go into:
This will fix the issue and should also update conversions into Key Events (as well as add any newly marked Key Events)
Thanks @AlexVice for the follow up. It actually worked this time around!
I had tried doing the exact same thing earlier and it did not work. Happy the feature is fixed now and we can use it to re-sync the fields from GA.
This didn't work for me. I think what you meant by the above was:
Or is there another way to refresh data sources?
