Missing exit and save button

Hi everyone,

My colleagues and I are experiencing an issue where the "Save" and "Exit" buttons are missing in Looker. (See attached screenshot) This happens both when adding data sources and when creating filters, so we are unable to save or exit.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Restarted PC
  • Updated Google Chrome to the latest version
  • Cleared cache
  • Asked ChatGPT 😉
  • Checked other dashboards where it worked before, same problem now
  • Disabled Adblocker
  • I have the required permissions

Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this or how to fix it?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi,

I had this issue in looker too.

I managed to resolve this by disabling all my extensions and then refreshed the page and this worked.

I then turned each extension back on one at at time to work out which extension was causing this bug.

Hi @florianau, thank you for your post and detailed troubleshooting information!

I'm sorry that you are encountering this issue - it sounds like it could be a bug. Would you be able to submit all of the details to our team, so that we can look into this? You can file a bug report by following the instructions here: https://support.google.com/looker-studio/answer/13606940

Thank you!

Hey, thanks for your answer.

I did it directly but haven't gotten an answer yet. What else can I do?

Hi,
I experience this same problem of no cancel or save buttons on several screens, including the overlaying “filters” form and also the overlaying “resources” part.
I have 2 ressources (does they include "extensions", not sure about the wording...) that I'm not allowed to cancel as a comany policy (and they work fine in the reports).
I'm not sure if this is a known bug, but quick Googling turned only up this convo.

I would be happy if this gets fixed.

Best regards from Germany
J.

I hadn't thought of that, thanks!
