Hi all,
I have a looker studio dashboard which I have shared across teams in my organization. I will be making updates to it going forward and releasing updated versions intermittently. Is there a way to publish newer versions without changing the link, i.e. to overwrite the existing dashboard and not publish a new one every time there is an update.
Appreciate any any/tips you can share.
Thanks.
When you make updates to the report, all viewers will see those updates as you publish them - you do not need to change the link. There is also a feature whereby you can click 'Link to your current report view' to share the current configuration of the dashboard, as documented here.
I think though that you may be asking about not overwriting the previous version of a report with your updates? I think the only way to do that would be to make a copy of your report and make the updates in the copy, and then share that new link with people who need the updated version. This could of course get messy in terms of governance.
Two options, if you want to release the updates all at once on a given date, rather than just having the edits show up as you make them:
