I'm using Looker Studio to display a dashboard with data from my commercial team, connected via the MySQL connector (AWS RDS).
Recently, I noticed a significant delay in data updates. Even when I manually refresh the data, the dashboard does not show the latest information.
When running the same query directly on the database, the data is up-to-date, so the issue seems to be with the Looker Studio refresh.
In the bottom-left corner, where Looker Studio displays the "Last refresh date and time," the timestamp no longer matches the actual last refresh.
For example:
Current date and time: January 15, 2025, 2:33 PM
Looker Studio displays: Last refresh: January 15, 2025, 2:20:22 PM.
When I manually refresh, the displayed timestamp sometimes changes, but in some cases, it shows an earlier time than the previous one. This results in outdated data being displayed on the dashboard, leading to inconsistencies.
The charts are set to refresh every 15 minutes, but this interval is not being respected. Updates seem to take at least 30 minutes to reflect.
Is this a known issue? Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any suggestions or solutions would be greatly appreciated.
