Problem with Ghost series

I wrote a report that used a line chart. There was 9 series/ 9 times. Now with subsequent reports that might have 2 or 5 lines, the has report is will empty series is there. The problem comes then you try to publish or look at the chart online. Ghost lines up and image is not there. I am trying to push Looker over PowerBi but this is troubling.
