Why does exported LookerStudio data not match LookerStudio itself?

I have encountered this situation many times:

  • I have my GA4 property connected to LookerStudio.
  • I have a table of data with a grand total.
  • I go to export the data by right-clicking the table and downloading it as CSV.
  • Much to my surprise the grand total row in my LookerStudio report is different than the CSV download.

This is just an example. What is the explanation of this? Why does downloaded data often differ from the dashboard itself...what is the source of truth? Thank you.

yeah I also noticed that when you export data, you don't get what you see, especially on Pivots. So probably we should suggest this feature to be improved
