YouTube Analytics Authorization Fails

Hello everyone
I am trying to authorize Looker Studio to access the YouTube Analytics data of one of my YouTube channels.
The "Authorization Request" popup opens in which I can click the buttons: "cancel" and "authorize".
I click "authorize" but nothing happens.
I use Windows 11 with Google Chrome updated to Version 127.0.6533.120., I have cleaned cookies and cache and I do not have the popup blocker or ad blocker etc. active.
Please, can you help me solve the problem?

HI @MasaSax, thank you for your post!

Have you tried re-authenticating into Looker Studio? I found a similar occurrence of this issue, and that was another troubleshooting step that was recommended, here: https://support.google.com/looker-studio/thread/64490524?hl=en&msgid=65688482

Otherwise, this might be an issue that our team might not be aware of. You can report a problem by following the steps on this help article:  https://support.google.com/looker-studio/answer/13606940

That link isn't sending me to the post you are referencing. having a similar issue to the OP. would appreciate a working link, thanks!

Still experiencing this issue in February 2025. The link in this answer has not been corrected. Please fix!!

Also having the same issue. I have tried logging in and out of my google account. Trying youtube next, but not going to hold my breath

Stuck on this screen and clicking Authorize doesn't do anythingpnd11_0-1729111282790.png

I have the same issue.

I'm seeing the same issue.

I had this issue in Chrome.  The authorization was stuck.  I switched to Firefox and it worked immediately.

Also had an issue. Tried firefox and chrome and still didn't work...

I have the same issue

Hi all, am having the same issue. My YT channels security settings show that Looker has been authorized as a third-party app. But when I click to connect the data source, nothing happens after hitting "Authorize" — any updates here?

Same issue here.

Having the same issue as the OP.  Have tried multiple times without success.

Did also try it with a different YouTube channel, had the same auth issues, although it did eventually connect after quite a few attempts.  Not sure I did anything different, it just eventually worked. Of course, I was just testing and it was not the YT channel I wanted.  Trying again with the one I do want I have had no success connecting.   Very frustrating.
