I use a google sheet for data maintenance. When I make a change in the sheet, I want that change to be immediately visible in Looker. This worked very well when I updated the data manually. As of today, this option no longer works.
When I look at the underlying data in Looker, I see the correct data from the Google sheet. I don't see it in the Looker report. After some time (seems random), the data then becomes available and displayed.
any ideas? its a strange behaivoir
I have exactly the same problem, does anyone know what's happening?
I'm seeing this issue too with a Google Sheets source. If I create a new table in my report, I see the data update, so I know it's there, but it won't appear in my existing table no matter how many times I refresh. I would have thought I was going crazy if I hadn't seen your post.
Having the same issue here, any fixes soon from Google maybe? Hopefully...
Does anyone have any workarounds yet. I rely on LOOKER for immediate, near real-time data display during live events. This is a horribly big deal for me.
I have a problem. Is there any way to fix it?
@afalzon The problem still exists. And as far as I understand, Google is in no hurry to solve it.
You can try editing the table or chart, deleting and then returning some column. This way you will force the data to update.
I'm experiencing the exact same situation. Google Sheets connector. Clearing the cache doesn't resolve the issue, but strangely, opening the report in an incognito works.
Sometimes it updates when I go into the connection configuration and refresh the fields, but not always.
Hi everyone! Apologies for the trouble! We're investigating...
how i was able to solve it:
i used lookerstudio and a report for an art-project. it was sort of a game with participants and looker was our scoreboard. i did set up a second google-sheet with the exact same structure. i changed the source of the table to this "dummy-sheet" and brought it back to the real data. after a "update data" it did reflect the correct numbers. its just a workaround and it just worked for the performance we did in the theatre. for business-use this is worthless.
This is now resolved. Thank you for your patience.
