timeline date filter

Good morning everyone,

I have a Google Sheet containing the columns:

• Start Date
• End Date
• Description
• Sorting

I would like to create a timeline chart to have a Gantt-like chart. I have done it and I can see the ascending dates on the X-axis, and the sorting based on the Google Sheet column on the Y-axis.

I would like to add a parameter to filter the dates and select a specific period to display (for example, a month or a full year). The chart should then display the events only for the selected date range. However, I am facing a problem: the chart only shows the periods that contain events in the Google Sheet. For example, if there are no events in January, the chart skips January and starts from February. Is there any way to display the empty periods as well?

Another issue is that if an event crosses over into the next month, the chart shows the next month's dates as long as the event continues. I would like the event to stop displaying at the end of the filtered period. If I set the filter to the end of the month, the event should stop there and not continue.
