Need help im just starting to explore the lookerstudio . trying to display a simple column chart to represent the trend line or column series in the duration that it took for every day. with a google sheet as datasource.
the google sheets contain date and duration. but when i tried to insert a column chart and use the metrics the column for duration, im getting null values for all the row entries. is there anything im missing. i would also like to get a spark line chart to display the same.
Reference: Looker studio and Sheets as below .

Hi @sandeepraon
I cant see the data in the Looker Studio report you shared but from what I see: the Duration should not be set as a breakdown dimension, but rather a metric. Then, depending on what you want to show, select if its a sum, avg, etc.
Also, when adding the data source, make sure that the fields are defined correctly, Date and Time, Date, Time etc. That way, Looker Studio knows how to handle the data in the column.
I was now able to see the data - you have already set it as type duration which is good, but the source data for that needs to be in seconds. So transform these in the sheet to seconds, set them as duration, and you should be able to see the results you are looking for. For reference
Thanks
Marc

Thank you for the information, but now when i do the column chart . i cannot get my Y-axis values to the mapping of the duration values.?i see only 0 and 1 mapped? how do i get that fixed.
Update: i found the solution . seems like the axis and the range are in style tab
