Dynamic Connection Switching Based on Development Mode

We currently have two database environments: prod and preprod. At the moment, our Looker instance connects only to the prod environment. However, we would like to enable developers to automatically connect to the preprod environment when they are in Development Mode, so they can safely explore and test without impacting production data. We would like to change the connection parameter in model file based on Production or Development mode

Could you please point out to me if it possible to achieve? or suggest any other alternatives to achieve this ?

Hi @Abhishekpv1995 as stated in the documentation here, to enable this configuration you will need one Looker instance for each tier of your system. For example, a system with a preprod and production stage will need two separate instances.

Thanks for reaching out to me. Is it not possible to achieve this using single instance?
I think we don't have budget to buy another instance for lower environments.
