App Engine Search index Quota

Hi,

Is there a method to monitor the App Engine Search index Quota usage. The default is 10 GB and increasing it will take few days. So it would really beneficial if there was a way to monitor and set up alerts. Any help is appreciated.

There's no direct quota on document count, but total storage size (including documents and indexes) is limited (10GB by default).

  • Monitor usage: App Engine Admin Console or custom Cloud Monitoring metrics.
  • Set quota alerts: Cloud Monitoring alerts based on custom metrics (if implemented).
  • Increase quota: Request directly from App Engine Search page in Google Cloud Console (takes a few days).
  • Minimize storage usage: data compression or removing unnecessary fields from documents.
  • Check quotas and monitoring details in App Engine documentation.
