Cloud Run Jobs Quota was automatically set to 0 and cannot be changed anymore?

Hi everyone,

I have been running a few Cloud Run Jobs for the past months and all was well.

But 2 days ago, somehow my quota changed automatically. Usually, one would get a quota of 10 for "Job run requests per minute per region". But ever since midnight 2 days ago this is now 0 for my account and this also is the maximum that I can set it to?

This effectively means that I cannot run a single job anymore.

Does someone know how this might have happened but esp. how to increase this again?

Thanks

Malte

Hi, we have restored the rate at which you may run jobs to their previous setting of 10/min. We're also making some changes to how we structure quotas for jobs; if you run into quota limits in the future, please request an increase to your quota.

For this kind of issue, please contact Google Cloud support.

Thanks. Unfortunately, right now I'm on a free plan and there is no customer support for that. That's why I tried this forum.

Have you tried to increase the quota in the Quotas page?

If you are still having the issue after that, you can submit your report here:

Hi Malte, We're aware of some customers experiencing quota issues in Cloud Run Jobs. We're working on fixing the issue.

Hi Karolina,

thanks for the reply. Indeed today the quota changed again. Not back to 10 but at least the jobs started magically running again.

Have a good day

I am experiencing the same issue. Since Nov. 9th, the CloudScheduler is failing with RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED errors. After some research I found the quota "Job run requests per minute per region" reached. It seems I am now limited to 1. I don't know how this limit was before, but I'v never seen this specific error before.

It states to be on a per region level, which is even more annoying because I have my test environment in the same region as my production environment. It means my test env is now eating from my prod env's lunch....

I have 4 Jobs running every minute in each project. This is a big issue for me as its throttling my system drastically.

Karolina, could you share some more information?

* Is this a bug, or an intentional change?
* Are you still working on this?
* What limit can we expect to see after its being solved/changed?
* Do you have a ETA for a fix/change?

Could you please keep us updated? It's quite important for me.

Thank you!

I just went checking, but our limit hasn't changed and is still at 1/min. I already have a pending request for increasing the quota, but I am worried it might take some time.

Is there anything I could possibly do right now? I desperately need this increase.

Thank you!

Hi there,

we have the same problem.  A task that runs once a week can't run now because the quota is 0, When we try to update the quota it says to enter a value between 0 and 0.

Hi, I have filled the Form, My quota was accepted (received by email the confirmation). But, guess what.  I still can't put a value diffrent to 0...

Hi, I'd like to understand better your experience around quota requests. Raphaelt, are you saying you were able to request a quota higher than 0, were granted it (confirmed by email), but the quota still shows up as 0?

For me, I requested a quota of 10/min and it was granted and changed successfully. I requested the change on Friday afternoon (CET) and it got changed on Monday morning (CET). Generally this is would be an acceptable time frame, but given that the quota  decreased from 10 to 1 before I was not happy about it.

Thank you for responding - I'm glad to hear that your increase was
approved! I'm sorry that you had to wait that long for your job to run
normally again, I understand that in this case you wish we had been faster.

Yes @knet , this is exactly it.

@knet , I am sorry I just realize that responding to the email does not post an answer.

So, here is the situation .

Today, I have requested a new quota increase, for

Cloud Run Admin APIJob run requests per minute per region
  • region : northamerica-northeast1

as it's 0 allowed. We only need 5 , and we will be super safe with it.

Today, my request was denied... I do have a billing account linked to the project.

Hi Raphael, we looked into this and can't find your quota increase request in our systems. Do you have a support case number?

Hello, no case number appear in the emails.

Hi Knet!

We have the same problem. We can't use the service because Cloud Run Jobs's initial quota is 0. And I can't increase that.

We have sent the request to the sales team. They promised to solve to issue in 24 hours, but time passed. And there is no even any response.

Please help us because we can't complete the project for the client without that jobs.

I am facing the same problem, limit for "Job run requests per minute per region" quota is scaled down to 0 (for the past 2 weeks). After going through this thread I tried to increase the quota this is what it says on quota increase page

I tried calling Sales team as instructed but they are not reachable. Any help in this matter will be appreciated! (PS: We have  a billing account linked to the project)

@knet , can we have a fix please. This is a really simple fix to do, and nobody is giving a s*it about our case, support/sale.

Almost a month since we have the problem.

Do something!

[UPDATE]: I requested for an increase in quota from 0 to 10. Google accepted my request after a couple of days. I can now execute my cloud run job.

I have same problem with Cloud Armor. I cannot change quota limit for Security Policies, all quotas is zero.

I also added billing account and even prepaid 50$ for billing account.
