Setup VM instance to work with other people

Hello!

I'm new at google cloud. I'm using only free resources, but I'm very insterested in google cloud run.

I have created a VM instance (according to web, it should be free...), and I want share it with another person to help me to setup some items. Is this possible?

For testing purposes, I want create only 1 instance and have the base image disk with other base image + some alterarions (backup disk + 2 or 3 altered images until I find the best setup). How I can switch disks in my instance? How many disks can I have with my free account?

The main goal is prepare the bases for a mini webgame server host (4 people, 4h, 2 days per week)

The game server software will be uploaded in a few months, but I need ensure that the machine is well prepared.

For DNS redirections, is there any free option in google cloud? or should I use a 3rd partner service?

Thanks! Any help will be appreciated.

Hello @Chessica,

Welcome to Google Cloud Community!

To grant access to your VMs, this document might be useful for you.

You might want to check Free cloud features and trial offer so you would know the coverage of the Google Cloud free program.

Thanks

I can't see how many disks for instances can I have in free cloud features... can you point me at where I can read it?

(I'm not english, so sometimes it's hard for me understand some large texts)

Hi Chessica, one more note: If you are interested in Cloud Run, there's no need to create a VM first. You can directly go to Cloud Run and create a Cloud Run service. Or, you can stick with your current VM solution.

This won't solve my need of sharing its management 😞

I have created an instance instead of a virtual machine, but it doesn't solve my need to share it with other person in order to manage it.

To share management: Easiest way is to navigate to "IAM" in Cloud Console and add the other users who need to manage it.
