I enabled Artifact Registry API, but I'm getting the following error (I have omitted what I assume to be the project ID here):

denied: Artifact Registry API has not been used in project ### before or it is disabled.

 I'm just trying to try out Artifact Registry by running a Docker container with a simple NodeJS app.

If you have enabled the Artifact Registry API recently, It should take some time before the action propagates through the system. What you can do here is wait for a few minutes and retry. If this fails, try disabling and enabling the Artifact Registry again and wait for a few minutes before trying again.
