Annotated Canvas in Google Docs for Chrome Extension

Is there any way to whitelist Chrome Extensions to use Annotated Canvas in Google Docs?

We have a relatively popular Chrome extension with hundreds of thousands of users, yet unable to make it work in Google Docs due to recent changes to canvas rendering.

We did try submitting the form mentioned in official blog post by Google, however we are not getting any response from the team.
