Service accounts cannot invite attendees without Domain-Wide Delegation of Authority

I'm having the same issue as many are facing by searching on the web https://issuetracker.google.com/issues/178403179.  I have enabled domain-wide delegation for my service account.   I can get events and I can add events without attendees.  When added attendees, it throws this error

Error: Service accounts cannot invite attendees without Domain-Wide Delegation of Authority.
```
I searched the web and tried every suggestion I could find but it is still getting the same error.   Please help.

I'm hoping to get this resolved soon.  Can someone please help?
