I've spent hours on and off for over a year trying to get this issue resolved. All of google's instruction on how to hide or turn suggested files in google drive DO NOT WORK. Support sent me here to post... I see posts going back over a year from other frustrated users on the same issue.
I would love- recently tested instructions that actually work.
