Deletion issue

i am google admin we want to delete one user but error showing "could not delete user due to legal hold. Please contact your vault administrator. This error papering first time. Please help me.

Have you tried to remove all licenses associated with that user then delete the user? If so, what was the result/error message? According to the Google Workspace Admin Help Community, some admins had to remove the license first then delete the user. According to https://support.google.com/a/thread/145385443?hl=en-GB, one user said "License removal was the workaround for me. We have a catch all hold in Vault to hold all google drive data and Gmail. If I remove the licensing however it purges all the held data which completely negates the data retention ability. I cannot delete the user and transfer its data until after the license is removed." I know you said you were the admin but I wonder if you have Vault because the error message said something about "vault administrator." (Vault being https://support.google.com/vault/answer/2462365?hl=en.)
