Pexip is an interoperation(interop) solution bridging Google Meet and other meeting softwares. (If you are not using Pexip, this article might be irrelevant to you.)
The basic setup of interop would be
Meet users <---> Meet servers<---> Pexip <---> 3rd party endpoints
Interop issues are usually caused by unstable connections in the above setup.
The very first step to troubleshoot an interop issue is identifying where the issue occurs, and we can start from making sure the connection Meet users <---> Meet is optimal:
Metric |
ideal |
Packet loss |
< 3% |
Connection delay |
< 120ms |
FPS |
> 5 |
Client CPU usage |
< 80% |

If the above optimal conditions are met and issues still persist, it’s likely that the issues are between Meet <---> Pexip <---> 3rd party endpoints
The next step would be getting Pexip logs to identify what happened between Meet <---> Pexip
If the above steps go well and no issues are found, the issue is likely to lie in Pexip <---> 3rd party endpoints, it’s out of Meet’s scope.
