Ability to configure Email and chat auto-deletion for sub organizations or specific workspace users

My organization has a need to designate specific workspace accounts to have different email and chat auto-deletion settings.  It appears that Workspace Administration only allows you define this setting at the parent organization level.  If I create a child OU, while I get the ability to control other gmail settings, this specific setting is inherited from the parent OU, without the option to override.

Is there another method by which I can have Workspaces automatically purge emails older than a specific period of time for specific Workspace accounts?

Control email and chat message storage

As a Google Workspace administrator, you manage email and chat message storage for users in your organization.

Set the number of days messages stay in a user's inbox, and create settings that:

  • Move messages to trash or delete them permanently when their storage periods expire.
  • Store messages with specific labels.
  • Delete messages automatically, or let your users manage message deletion.
