Account Migration: How do I roll back changes to date modified on transferred files

I am migrating from a school account to a new workplace account I've set up. I wanted to preserve that date modified/created data, so I first tried using Google's account transfer option Google Takeout. It crashed part way through.

I now know that while I can't preserve anything transferring directly between accounts, if I download multiple files directly or use the data export tool the date modified would be preserved. However, the account transfer I initiated updated the data modified information on most of my files because it will update if the sharing permissions on a file change and that's what the transfer tool did.

I want to restore to the modified date prior to initiating the transfer for all my file, so what are my options? I noticed that if I open a file and look at the document details or the edit history, the last modification dates are correct, so is there any way to export that info en masse?

Depending on the volume of files and and complexity of the folder structures involved, there may be a way to move most files, rather than copy them, using a shared drive owned by the destination account as a half-step.

How many users are you migrating?
