Adding a Pause Screen share feature. Is this on the road map?

Hi Google team!

I would like to submit a request to add the exact same feature that Zoom has. They have a pause screen share button on the bottom of the screen which allows us to move to a different tab and prepare the next screen before showing the others in the meeting.

This is a critical feature for our sales team to do demos correctly. We love Google Meet and it works great for us but we still need to send $2k+ off to Zoom every year just for one simple feature. We would love to consolidate all of our meetings and conversations into the Google Workspace ecosystem but can't only because of this one feature. 

Keep up the amazing work. Any chance this is already on the roadmap?

Please use this process to submit feature requests!

While there is no dedicated pause button, you can share a tab and then hold on that tab while you get the other one ready and then just click the "share this tab instead" button which is the way that our teams have been using it 😁

Very much would like to add my vote to this. This is the #1 feature missing for us.  We have lots of cases where we would like to freeze the video sharing temporarily.

This is the only reason we're not switching to Google Meet from Zoom as well
