I've set up my Zoho CRM to use my Google app password for email SMTP authentication.
After 90 days, I was required to update my Google password in accordance with the admin's rules.
I must update my Google password, which will afterwards delete the app password from my Google account and effect the login settings for Zoho CRM.
My Google account needs a new password, which I have to set to the zoho crm smtp settings, which
is unnecessary adding to my workload, please give me some advice.
Hi @Jaygusani99, losing the app passwords after resetting the account password is expected - this is how this feature works by the design.
Instead of using the address/password login method in order to connect to Zoho CRM, you can try to authenticate your account using OAuth - if it's supported by the tool. OAuth is a modern and more secure method (and can be revoked separately by the admin). If you set this connection using OAuth the password reset won't revoke this access anymore.
Hope this helps,
Best,
Marcin
