Assign Tasks from Docs not working in Chrome browser

The Assign Tasks from Docs feature only works on my mobile app, not the desktop/browser version. Can we please have this issue resolved?

There have been several delays with this rollout process to our education domains, and it isn't even a full feature.

I'm on this thread, and some education domains still do not have this feature. I have seen no updates on this inability to roll out the feature fully.

Assign Tasks from Google Drive still isn't working for our domain either - we desperately need it fixed please.

It is not working for maine.edu either. It does work on the mobile app but not the desktop. We need this functionality.

Is this closed?  Still doesn't work for our domain as well and it's now April 2025.
