I work in a SCIF. I'm not allowed to use my phone. Connectivity to Google Chats is highly, highly intermittent and it is not something they will fix. Google Chats used to be my only real time communication method with my significant other while at work before my work made connecting to Google Chats nearly impossible. They will not revert these changes, they tend to take access and never restore it.
It would make my life significantly easier if I could set the chat with my SO to send all incoming Google Chat messages as emails so that I can see them if my machine will not connect to Google Chats. If I could even set this to happen during work hours only, that would be even better.
