Hello everyone
I'm trying to figure out how to implement an autoreply for terminated employess but it has been almost impossible.
As workaround we are setting up a group using the email address from the terminated employee and setting a auto-reply into the group to all new messages delivered to this group.
The problem is that I can do it only trough the Google Admin webpages and it requires a human to process this message in the group because there's no way to use GAM or any API to set this message on auto-reply box.
Even with a "archive" license I can't setup an response for customers that tries to contact an ex employee.
Would be nice to have the possibility to create a custom message for each disabled account in Google Admin, not only for terminated employees but it could be helpful also for temporary disabled accounts too.
Is it a solution that Google can think about?
Thank you very much.
Hello icrew,
Also this method requires Super Admin rule and cannot be set by the Admin SKD using APi.
Thank you anyway
From what I understand, it would be a one-time setup, not something you’d need to do for each account.
But if it’s not what you’re looking for, you might want to post this to the Feature Ideas section here. Doing so will allow it to be upvoted by others and possibly considered as a future feature enhancement.
If you do not already have access, you need to request it first. See https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/custom/page/page-id/Workspace-Feature-Ideas-FAQ for how to do that.
Once you have access, go to https://www.googlecloudcommunity.com/gc/Feature-Ideas/gh-p/workspace-ideas-group . There, you can upvote and comment on any similar idea, or post a new idea.
If you are submitting a feature idea, be sure to explain the problem that you're trying to solve with the feature idea, not just the idea itself. For example, saying "when my users are trying to do 'A', they often get confused by the fact that the buttons to do 'X' and to do 'Y' look quite similar to each other, which leads to this unintended consequence" is far more likely to get fixed than a feature idea that just says "change the color of the button 'Y'".
Cheers,
Ian
