Automatic delete forever? Is it possible?

Hi,

Is it possible to auto-delete bin items automatically after moving them to a bin folder, automatic delete forever/bin cleaning?

Thanks

To empty the bin label, you'd have to wait 30 days, or permanently delete items manually by emptying the bin.

That said, items permanently deleted are still subject to your organization's Google Vault retention policy.

If the items you wish to purge some common parameters, you may be able to automate their deletion with a custom Google Vault retention policy.

Thank you for your reply.
I will give you an example of a case.
- Business Standard plan - No Vault
- user request: all emails sent from one address must be automatically deleted forever. Without going in the trash.

If there is no solution for this case in this price plan. Is it possible to get a solution for this through Vault?

Thanks.

@kprskalo thinking about your problem, vault is an e-discovery tool. You might be able to set it up not to store a user's email but I don't think it could be set up not to store just one email address. So I don't think that's an avenue to pursue.

I think the solution you want is a blocked sender list:

If it's just for one user, you might have to create an OU for them.

Thought? KAM

Hello,

That won't work because the emails should be sent but not stored. That mail address is used as a scan-to-mail address.
I do not want sent emails to be saved.

@kprskalo Thought: use IMAP with Gmail and a client such as Mozilla Thunderbird with the account setting not to place a copy of the messages when sending.  -KAM

I will try this. Thanks.

No settings on Gmail/Drive to set to auto-delete bin. It takes 30 days for messages/drive files in trash to permanently delete automatically. One of the main reasons you should keep your trash clean is that Gmail doesn't delete messages in the trash automatically. Instead, messages will stay in your trash for 30 days before being deleted.
