As per this Meet support article, it seems that when you record a Google Meet session, it doesn't share the Drive file automatically with any invited Groups participants - only individual participants that were invited.
This is a major bottleneck for us as we use Google Groups to simplify guest management for team events (standups, syncs etc.). Groups make it far easier to add a new team member to a number of these team events by just adding them to the relevant Group.
This process is completely pointless if we then have to invite people each week to meeting records etc.
Would be interested to hear the reasoning behind this from the Workspace team.

BTW for some reason, I can't seem to be able to join the feature requests section otherwise this would be posted there too. Might be to do with our level of Workspace plan.
